Commendation Citation

To Pass in Review of the Old Guard is a long standing military tradition usually reserved for the Commander in Chief or high ranking civilian/dignitaries who have/had serviced in the military. It is also performed for distinguished and honorable military personnel at their retirement. Colonel Duong Nguyen, the first Vietnamese American Commander, was invited to pass in review of the Old Guard on July 29th, 1999.
